On changes in crediting of accounts in USD due to the American national holiday
On 19 January 2009, the USA celebrates a Federal Holiday – Martin Luther King’s Day. On this day all state and commercial institutions, including banks, in the US will be closed. Therefore, on 20 January Rietumu Bank will not perform the account crediting operations in USD, which are carried out through the American correspondent banks.
Outgoing payment instructions in US dollars received from customers on 16 January after Cut off time (3:30 p.m. Latvian time) will be sent on the same date with value date marked as 20 January 2009.
Starting from 21 January, all transactions in USD will be carried out as usual.
