Full Throttle Contest Rules

  Registration and Terms

  1.1. Participation is open to any Alpari client. You may only use one account for the contest.

  1.2. Participation is not open to Alpari staff and their relatives.

  1.3. Accounts opened by corporate entities are not eligible to participate in the contest.

  1.4. By registering once, you will automatically be entered in all four rounds. You may only register once.

  Note: In order to change any personal information that you entered incorrectly during registration, you will need to send a scan of your passport/ID (two-page spread with photo) to contest@alpari.ru . Please include in your email your contest nickname and the errors you would like to correct. You can change your personal information up to two weeks after registration.

  1.5. Please ensure that you fill out all fields of the registration form.

  1.5.1. You may register for the contest either in myAlpari on the Company site.

  1.5.2. If you are already registered in myAlpari, you must choose which account you would like to use as well as a nickname for the contest. After having agreed to the contest rules, confirm your participation by clicking "Register".

  1.5.3. If you are already registered in myAlpari, you may register for the contest directly from myAlpari by using the standard form and following the step-by-step instructions.

  1.5.4. If you are already registered in myAlpari but don't have one of the account types needed for the contest, you will need to open a new account in the "Open Account" section of myAlapri after which you may register using the standard registration form in myAlpari or on the site.

  1.5.5. If you are not yet registered in myAlpari, you must go through the full registration procedure.

  1.5.6. You may only register a trading account that is not already registered in another Alpari contest.

  1.6. Alpari is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all contestants and will publish only contestants' nicknames in the contest rankings.

  1.7. After you have successfully registered for the contest, your account is included on the list of accounts participating in the "Full Throttle" contest.

  1.8. The following accounts may be used to participate in the contest: micro.mt4, micro.mt4.swapfree, classic.mt4, classic.mt4.swapfree, classic.gold.mt4, classic.ndd.mt4, classic.systematic, classic.systematic.swapfree, classic.zulutrade, classic.ndd.zulutrade, pro.ecn.mt4 and the following deposit currencies may be used:

  • USD (US Dollar)
  • EUR (Euro)
  • GLD (standard unit GOLD)

  1.9. The minimum deposit is shown below:

  • 200 USD
  • 250 EUR
  • 200 GLD

  1.10. At the beginning of each round (at 00:00 MetaTrader time, when the daily report on completed transactions (Confirmation) is generated), all accounts are checked to determine if the equity is greater than or equal to the required minimum deposit. If the equity exceeds the minimum deposit, the account is moved to the list of "Active Accounts" and will not be checked for the rest of the round. Accounts with an equity level below the required minimum deposit are listed as "Inactive Accounts" and are checked daily until they qualify as "Active".

  1.11. If a client with a Premium account finishes in the top 10 in the contest rankings, 5% will be adding to their Volume Point rating which may lead to an improvement in the client's place in the rankings. Extra points may also be added if at any point during the round the Equity of the account reached 50,000 USD or 40,000 EUR.

  1.12. Each contest round lasts two weeks with a two-week break between rounds.

  1.13. You should read these rules carefully and adhere to them during the contest. Ignorance of the rules will not be considered legitimate grounds for a complaint.

  Contest Guidelines

  2.1. The following account types may be used in the contest: micro.mt4, micro.mt4.swapfree, classic.mt4, classic.mt4.swapfree, classic.ndd.mt4, classic.systematic, classic.gold.mt4, classic.systematic.swapfree, classic.zulutrade, classic.ndd.zulutrade, pro.ecn.mt4.

  2.2. You must trade within the provisions of the Terms of Business and related documents.

  2.3. Only positions on Forex instruments (see complete list here, click the "Forex" tab) will be included in the calculation of the Volume Point rating.

  Determining the Winners

  3.1. Round winners are determined as follows:

  3.1.1. Participants are ranked according to the "Volume Point" rating.

  Note: The formula for the "Volume Point" rating is detailed in the "Additional Contest Information" section at the bottom of the page.

  3.1.2 Only contestants with a positive "Volume Point" rating will be included in the rankings.

  3.2. The preliminary results are published on the site within 48 hours of the completion of a round. The register of trades made during the contest is not disclosed.

  3.3. The preliminary results may be appealed within six days after the end of the round. After six days, the results become final and cannot be appealed.

  3.4. Prizes may be claimed within 60 days after the end of the round.

  Prizes

  4.1. Prizes will be distributed as follows:

  4.1.1. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top ten contestants with the amount depending on the contestant's place in the rankings.

  In the event of a tie for a prize-winning place, the prize will be split evenly among the tied contestants.

  4.1.2. A prizewinner may not have the prize credited to another account or to the account of a third-party. The prize amount is credited only to the account used for the contest or, upon request, to the Transitory Account in myAlpari.

  4.1.3. A prizewinner may withdraw the prize any time after it has been credited to their account. Any available fund withdrawal method listed on the company site may be used.

  4.2. Prizes are credited according to the Company's exchange rate which is published daily in the "Conversion Rates" section of myAlpari.

  4.3. Prizewinners are required to participate in Alpari promotional events, interviews, photo essays and public announcements on current promotions. Alpari, however, may not disclose any personal information (including full name) of any contestant without their consent.

  4.4. The Contest Administration reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who refuses to participate in promotional events and award the now vacated prize to the next highest finishing contestant.

  Complaints and Disputes.

  5.1. All complaints about trading operations are reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Business.

  5.2. Complaints arising in connection with the results of a round or the contest as a whole should be sent to contest@alpari.ru with the subject "Full Throttle". Complaints sent by another method (such as the Alpari Forum) will not be accepted.

  5.3. Contestants who wish to dispute their rating should demonstrate how the rating was calculated improperly and must also send their version.

  5.4. The Contest Administration has the right to reject a complaint if it does not conform to the terms specified in clauses 5.2 and 5.3.

  5.5. The Contest Administration will make the final decision in any disputed situation and will be guided by common market practice.

  5.6. Abuse or manipulation of the contest rules may result in a warning or, if deemed necessary, disqualification from the contest.

  Force Majeur

  6.1. The Contest Administration has the right to suspend or terminate the contest if a situation arises where the conditions are unfair for most contestants.

  6.2. The Contest Administration has the right to suspend or terminate the contest if its continuation is rendered impossible due to extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of the Contest Administration (natural disasters, war, political conflict, etc...).

  6.3. In the case of suspension or termination of the contest, the Contest Administration may resume the contest with the same contestants (having saved or restored account data at the moment the contest was suspended), or hold registration again and start the contest from the beginning. Regardless, the final decision will be made by the Contest Administration and all information will be posted on the website with reasonable advance notice.

  6.4. If the contest is not resumed and completed, the results at the moment of suspension will not be used as a basis for awarding prizes.

  Changes to the Contest Rules

  7.1. If there is any glaring error in the criteria for selecting a winner, the Contest Administration will make the necessary changes in the formulas for the rating calculation.

  7.2. The Contest Rules may be supplemented with any necessary explanatory documents.

  7.3. The final results of each round are not subject to revision.

Additional Contest Information

  Formula for calculating Volume Point

  The "Volume Point" rating is used to rank contest contestants:

  VP = V ² * 1 000 / N , where

  • V — Total number of lots;
  • N — Beginning Equity + Deposit.

  Beginning Equity - The equity of the contestant at the beginning of the round;

  Deposit - Deposits made during the course of the round.

  The rating will be calculated taking into account only the volume of trades made during the course of the round on Forex instruments. The beginning equity will be recorded after succesful Confirmation (see clause 1.10). "N" (beginning equity+ deposit) is then converted to dollars at Alpari's internal exchange rate.

  Example:

  A client registers for "Full Throttle" with a classic.mt4 account with 100,000 USD on it. During the round, the client opens the following positions: GBP/USD - 2 lots, USD/JPY - 3 lots, EUR/USD - 5 lots and XAU/USD - 0.1 lots The client also deposits an additional 20,000 USD onto his account. So at the end of the round, the result is as follows

  VP=(2+3+5+0,1) ² * 1000/ ((100 000 + 20 000)/31.87), where 31.87 is Alpari's exchange rate.

  VP = 27.0922

  This rating determines placement in the contest rankings.
