Rules for the "Investor's Compass" Contest

Registration and Terms of Participation
1.1. Participation is open to any Alpari client. You must register in myAlpari in order to participate in the contest.
1.2. Alpari employees and their relatives are not allowed to participate.
1.3. While registering for "The Investor's Compass" contest, you must enter a nickname in the appropriate field of the registration form and confirm that you are familiar with the rules of the contest. After filling out the registration form, three Contest Demo Transitory accounts are opened, one for each of the following currencies: USD,EUR, RUR.
1.4. The initial balance of the demo accounts is 100,000 for the USD and EUR accounts and 3,000,000 for the RUR account.
1.5. You may only register for the contest once. Registration for the current round is possible at any point in time.
1.6. You should carefully read and adhere to the rules. Ignorance of the rules cannot serve as grounds for lodging a complaint.
1.7. Each contest round lasts eleven weeks with a one week break between each round.
1.8. Upon the completion of each round, the balance of each contest demo account is automatically restored to the level specified in clause 1.4.
1.9. The contest demo accounts will be inactive during the break between rounds.

Trading on the Contest Demo Transitory Account
2.1. All trading is conducted by Alpari PAMM Account managers.
2.2. You must create a Contest Demo Managed account from which you will invest in the PAMM Accounts you have chosen. To create an account, follow the following steps:
- Log in to myAlpari
- Go to "Trading Contests" and click on "PAMM Account Ratings"
- Choose the PAMM Account that interests you from the PAMM-Account rating list
- Check to make sure there is a Public Proposal for the PAMM Account you have chosen
- Read the regulatory documents and click "Open contest.demo.invest Account"
2.3. To deposit virtual funds to your Contest Managed Demo Account, you must:
- Log in to myAlpari
- Go to the "Managed Accounts" section of "Trading Contests" and choose the demo Managed account to which you would like to deposit
- Click the link "Enter" in the "demo Contest Managed Account" window
- Enter the amount you would like to depost and click "Make Request"
Important! Deposit requests cannot be canceled.
2.4. To withdraw virtual funds from your demo Contest Managed Account, you must:
- Log in to myAlpari
- Go to the "Managed Accounts" section of "Trading Contests"
- In the demo Managed Account window, click "Withdrawal"
- Enter the amount you would like to withdraw, confirm the withdrawal and then click "Make Request"
Processing time: Requests are processed during the next active rollover (Scheduled rollovers are listed in the Request Planner.
Important! Withdrawal requests cannot be canceled.
When making requests, the processing time of the request and the time of the next active rollover are fixed. (This means that even if the Manager changes the time of the rollover, your request will still be processed at this time).
The recalculation of the balance and equity will be conducted in accordance with the rules for debiting funds from a Managed Account.
2.5. To invest virtual funds, you may choose any available PAMM Account that has a Public Proposal under the condition that you have enough funds on your Contest Transitory Demo Account (the deposit currency must be the same as the currency stated in the Manager's Proposal).
2.6. You may not change the balance on your Contest Transitory Demo Account by making deposits or withdrawals.

Round Results
3.1. The contest rankings are updated every hour and are shown on the website. The rankings include all contestants with a positive investment result.
3.1.1.The ranking shows the "Profit" index, which is calculated as the difference between the total equity at the moment of the formulation of the rating and the initial deposit.
3.2. The procedure at the end of a round is as follows:
3.2.1. Starting 96 hours before the end of the round, contestants will no longer be able to make deposits onto their Contest Demo Managed Account. (No-Deposit Period)
3.2.2. All Contest Demo Managed Accounts that were opened during the current round are automatically closed with 72 hours remaining in the round.
3.2.3 All of the investor's funds are then removed to the Contest Demo Transitory Account which is then recorded in the "Contest Results" section.

3.3. The winner shall be judged the contestant with the highest Profit rating as derived from the balance of the Contest Transitory Demo Account at the end of the round.
3.4. In the case of a tie between two or more contestants, the contestant who registered for the contest earlier will be declared the winner.
3.4.1. In the case of a tie and if all involved parties registered at the same time, the winner will be decided by random draw. The method of the draw will be determined by the contest administration.
3.5. Alpari will publish the results of each round on its website within 96 hours of the round's completion.
3.6. A round's results may be appealed within the first 24 hours of the round's conclusion. After 24 hours, the results are final and cannot be appealed.

Prizes for the Winners
4.1. The top five finishers will receive real, withdrawable cash prizes (as per Clause 3.3) in accordance with their place of finish:
- 1st place 1,000 USD
- 2nd place 750 USD
- 3rd place 500 USD
- 4th place 250 USD
- 5th place 100 USD
4.2. The prize is debited to the winner's Transitory Account, after which it can be withdrawn at any time and using any of the available withdrawal methods listed on the site.
4.3. Winners consent to participate in Alpari advertising and marketing activities including interviews, photos, and public notification through media sources. Alpari is obliged to not disclose any winner's personal information (including full name) without consent.
4.4. The Contest Administration reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who refuses to participate in advertising and marketing activities, interviews, surveys, etc. In such a case, the prize would be forfeited and awarded to the next highest placing contestant.

Complaints and Disputes
5.1. All complaints arising either during the course of the contest or concerning the determination of results should be sent to contest@alpari.ru with the name of the contest- "The Investor's Compass," in the contest heading. Complaints sent by other methods (particularly on the Alpari Forum), will not be considered.
5.2. Contestants who wish to dispute their rating should demonstrate how the rating was calculated improperly and must also send their version.
5.3. The Contest Administration has the right to reject a complaint if it does not conform to the terms specified in clauses 5.1, 5.2.
5.4. The Contest Administration will make the final judgement in all disputes according to the Terms of Business, the PAMM-Account Regulations, and common market practice.
5.5. Abuse or manipulation of the contest rules may result in a warning or, if deemed necessary, disqualification from the contest.

Force Majeure
6.1. The Contest Administration has the right to suspend or terminate the contest if a situation arises where the conditions are unfair for most contestants.
6.2. The Contest Administration has the right to suspend or terminate the contest if its continuation is rendered impossible due to extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of the Contest Administration (natural disasters, war, political conflict, etc...)
6.3. In the case of suspension or termination of the contest, the Contest Administration may resume the contest with the same contestants (having saved or restored account data at the moment the contest was suspended), or hold registration again and start the contest again from the beginning. In all cases, the final decision will be made by the Contest Administration and all information on this decision will be posted on the website with reasonable advanced notice.
6.4. If the contest is not resumed and completed, the results at the moment of suspension will not be considered to form the grounds for the awarding of prizes.

Changes to the Contest Rules
7.1. If there is any glaring error in the criteria for selecting a winner, the Contest Administration will make the necessary changes in the formulas for the rating calculation.
7.2. Clarifications may be added to the contest rules.
7.3. The final results of each round are not subject to revision.

Contest Formula
The criterion used in the calculation of the contest ratings and the determation of winners is Profit, which is calculated as follows:
Profit = Total Equity − Initial Deposit
where,
Total Equity— total equity at rollover;
Total Equity = Managed Funds + Actual Deposit
where,
Managed Funds — Aggregate funds of the managed accounts.
Actual Deposit — Final deposit of virtual accounts at rollover.
"Profit" is shown in USD, converted at the current rate of the Company.
